Statue Of Liberty, Replica, is Coming to Crown Point

Our Nation’s Landmark was recently featured on Chicago’s ABC 7 News and in the NWI Times newspaper.
The Lady Liberty construction was commissed to Beryl Martin of Griffith, IN by YTB International, an Internet Travel Marketing company for the 2008 National Convention hosted in St. Louis, MO this August.
The Statue of Liberty replica will stand 140’ tall, weighing 50,000 lbs, made out of foam and sprayed with a bullet proof paint. She will stand only 15 feet shorter than the actual Statue.
She will be carried on 48 semi trucks and will be moved in 8 foot sections from NW Indiana to St. Louis. After the convention, YTB is generously donating her to Crown Point, IN, as her new home in memory to fallen soldiers, officers and fire fighters.
